Service Description:

 Climate Change Map: This is one of seven Metropolitan Spatial Development Framework (MSDF) procedural guidance maps for 2023, each of which will need to be consulted when evaluating the suitability of an application for development. The MSDF maps provide a high-level view of where land uses and investment are encouraged, prohibited or restricted through legislation. On this map, the predicted impact of climate change on the City is reflected, highlighting areas most at risk. Both the approved 2018 Cape Town MSDF document and the approved 2023 MSDF document are available at https://www.capetown.gov.za/work%20and%20business/planning-portal/regulations-and-legislations/cape-town-spatial-development-framework.
